Overview

Key Facts Documents (KFDs) are documents which disclose Key Facts on financial products in a standardised format. The aim of Key Facts Documents is to make financial products more easily comprehensible to consumers. Key Facts Documents are available in the following languages: English, Ateso, Luganda, Lugbara, Luo, Runyankore/Rukiga, Runyoro/Rutoro, and Swahili.

From 1st April 2015, Supervised Financial Institutions are required to provide a Key Facts Document to consumers before they buy a loan or deposit product.
